This was the 5th year in a row that FX asked us to create an ID and promo package for Sunny! (Thank you!) For this installment we drew inspiration from the magic eye craze of our childhoods and the over-the-top tone of the show to craft this ID and promo package for Season 11.

When FX asked us to out-crazy last year's Sunny package again we honestly weren't sure it was possible.  We pitched ideas as wide ranging as a minimalist zen meditation of Frank's head and a far-flung 80's inspired space adventure.  What won out was this amateur-fan-art-inspired insanity. So, we picked up our markers and went at it with stream-of-consciousness doodling while marathoning the first nine seasons of Sunny.  The result is close to a decade of degenerate humor packed into one glorious sketch.  It's cell-animated visual overload full of obscure in-jokes that die-hard fans could spend days trying to decode.

SEASON 9 TEASE AND PROMO PACKAGE

CLIENT: FX NETWORK

Our third season of IDs and promo elements for It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. As the flagship comedy on the new FXX, the marketing team wanted to really hammer home the fact that the show was switching networks but sticking with its over-the-top formula. Our concept was to create a brain-melting collage of fake internet memes, high-brow culture bashing, fan-club-only Sunny references, FXX logos and all around nonsense.

To achieve this we made a series of random one-second scenes that could be shuffled around to make custom IDs and toolkit elements as needed. It's a ridiculous homage to channel surfing, but you can't escape Sunny, or whatever.

SEASON 8 TEASE AND PROMO PACKAGE

CLIENT: FX NETWORK

This was our second year teaming up with the gang at FX to create the promo package for the new season of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. The brief was simple: "make it crazier than last year."  An anime gang battle won out over reciprocal vomiting, whack-a-mole, and a one man dog band.
