For the second season of The Americans we riffed off the juxtaposed flag concept that we developed for season one. We created a dense canvas of classified documents, surveillance photos, and Soviet iconography, all glued together with expressive black and red paint strokes. The culmination of the piece is a dramatic reveal of an American flag tainted with bits of the Russian standard... and to be fair, we also created one that ends with a US infected Soviet flag.
