Part of our challenge was to craft visual narratives around powerful stories where interview or b-roll footage would not suffice. Guided by expert narration, we used historical documents, maps, illustrations, and photography to compose arresting sequences that provide a fuller understanding of the accounts. Using collage techniques afforded us the opportunity to assemble assets in a dynamic and engaging manner.
